Since 2015, The Heartstrings have been bringing their signature brand of Kuntry Rock to stages across the country. Based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the four-piece band blends country storytelling, southern-rock grit, and blue-collar attitude into a live show that's built to keep the crowd singing long after last call.
From hometown bars and county fairs to major festivals and concert venues, The Heartstrings have earned a reputation as one of the region's hardest-working independent country-rock bands. They've toured throughout the eastern United States and beyond, performing across Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New York, Delaware, South Dakota, and more while sharing the stage with artists including Brantley Gilbert, Gary Allan, The Lone Bellow, and REHAB.
The band has independently released two full-length albums—Sad Cowboy (2025) and Trailer Park Poems (2026)—along with a growing catalog of singles that continue to connect with fans both on stage and online. Their hometown following has become one of their biggest strengths, highlighted by two consecutive sold-out, 500-capacity album release parties, a milestone that reflects the loyal fanbase they've built through relentless touring and authentic songwriting.
Known for mixing crowd-favorite originals with a high-octane live show, The Heartstrings combine roaring guitars, honest lyrics, and an anything-can-happen atmosphere that has become their trademark. Whether they're playing a packed bar, a festival crowd, or a theater stage, every performance is fueled by the same mission: put on a show people will remember.
The band's momentum continues to grow with a 2023 Central Pennsylvania Music Award win, multiple CPMA nominations, regional television appearances, radio features, and a reputation for delivering one of the most exciting live country-rock shows in the Northeast.
If you're looking for loud guitars, cold beer, and a full-throttle night of Kuntry Rock, The Heartstrings are ready to bring the party.
"Strong and rowdy, delivering energy and swagger on their mix of hard-hitting rock and country."

Our Story
Every band has an origin story. Ours starts with an acoustic guitar, a small-town tavern, and a guy who just wanted to play country songs.
In 2015, Jacob Yoas stepped onto the stage at the Nippenose Tavern outside Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for his first solo performance. There was no grand plan—just a love for country music, southern rock, and the feeling that comes from playing songs that make people forget about work for a while. Before long, those solo shows turned into something bigger.
Jacob's sister, Maria, joined on bass, followed by his brother Brian on drums. What started as one guy with a guitar became a family band built on late nights, long drives, and a shared love of live music. For years, The Heartstrings did what countless bands before them have done: they loaded gear into bars, festivals, fairs, and wherever else someone would let them play. Night after night, they learned how to hold a crowd, read a room, and turn strangers into regulars.
As the years went on, something changed.
Playing cover songs was still fun, but it wasn't enough anymore.
Jacob began writing songs that reflected real life—heartbreak, blue-collar towns, Friday nights, empty bottles, long highways, and the people who leave their mark on you. Those songs became the foundation of a sound the band started calling Kuntry Rock: country storytelling with southern grit, rock-and-roll attitude, and just enough rough edges to feel honest.
When longtime friend Jake joined the band in 2022, everything clicked. The chemistry on stage reached another level, and The Heartstrings fully committed to building an identity around original music while keeping the high-energy live show that had earned them their reputation.
That commitment led to the band's debut album, Sad Cowboy, in 2025. The record introduced listeners to a more vulnerable side of the band while still delivering the loud guitars and rowdy energy fans had come to expect. More importantly, it proved there was a growing audience for original Kuntry Rock. The album release party sold out a 500-capacity venue—a milestone that showed the hometown crowd believed in the band as much as the band believed in itself.
Rather than slowing down, The Heartstrings kept building.
In 2026, they released their second full-length album, Trailer Park Poems, a record that embraced every side of who they had become. Equal parts party soundtrack and late-night reflection, the album captured the highs and lows of small-town life with bigger hooks, stronger songwriting, and an even clearer vision of the band's sound. Once again, fans packed the room, selling out another 500-capacity album release party and proving the first wasn't a fluke.
Along the way, The Heartstrings have shared the stage with artists including Gary Allan, REHAB, The Lone Bellow, and Brantley Gilbert while taking their music far beyond central Pennsylvania. They've performed throughout the eastern United States and into Texas, building a loyal following one show, one song, and one handshake at a time.
Through it all, one thing has never changed.
The Heartstrings have always believed that the best nights are the ones where the crowd feels like part of the band. That's why every show is played with the same mindset, whether it's for fifty people in a hometown bar or hundreds at a festival: give everything you've got, leave the stage empty, and make sure people have a story to tell on the drive home.
Kuntry Rock isn't just the music they make—it's who they are. It's family. It's friendship. It's blue-collar roots. It's loud guitars, honest songs, cold beer, and living life with the volume turned all the way up.
The story is still being written, but one thing is certain: The Heartstrings aren't chasing trends. They're chasing great songs, unforgettable nights, and the next town ready to experience Kuntry Rock.
